John Wallace was definiton of a good college player their was a reson he was picked in the high teens and the other two i agree but is that Boheim or Coleman being lazy and a waste of talent because thast who he was?

We can pick "busts" at any school..what a player does in the pros is mostly how his skillset translates to the next level and what his drive is

Coleman was definitely lazy, but it's also true that a coach at both the high school and college level can instill new habits or reinforce old ones. Boeheim has been coaching for like 70 years and barely has any successful pros to show for it, which seems weird even according to sheer chance. John Wallace had a professional offensive game, he was instant offense - he just had no clue on D, and I really wonder if playing so much zone stunts some of these players' growth.

I don't think coaches are THE factor in all cases, but I do think they can play a significant role in player development.

Sad that we were robbed of seeing his progression over the year, cuz I see a whole lotta shyt talking on here. Dude is a defensive juggernaught and is one of the most athletic centers I've seen in a while, he's ambidextrous and had just started getting good with post moves when he got injured. So shut the fukk up yall, this man deserves the #1 pick. His motor is non-stop and is an extremely hard worker. There is a reason he was #1 in the class.

walt is actually funny and has good basketball analysis on here

but u all over our guys when Roy is doing everything in his power to convince Bullock to be a 2nd round pick next year instead of a 1st this year and turning James Michael into a surefire lotto pick to a late first rounder as a jr

Roy just told Bullock the truth, he isn't guaranteed a 1st round spot this year and he thinks he should come back. Bullock, a grown ass man, decided to do what he felt was best and that was to leave. I think he made the right decision although I still think he could be a late 1st next year too.

JMM also made HIS OWN decision to come back and if he gets stronger with the ball and develops a consistant jumper, he'll be a lotto pick next year.
