My old man surprised me later that day with Kung Fu and.... Donkey Kong Math.
I picked out Contra at random at Toys R Us based on the cover. It was one of the more expensive games at $34.99.
I remember going from store to store trying to find Double Dragon during the "chip shortage".
I remember playing Ikari Warriors without the code and then finding it out in Nintendo Power.

I cant believe my mom got me a nintendo at 5 . We was crazy broke but she bought one off QVC back when it 1st started. I remember playing mario for days on end... then I got TMNT later on down the line.

The first Ninja Turtles game was ass. Got that for my birthday one year, and knew almost instantly it was wack. Was disappointed like a mufukka. The arcade port that came out after was crack though.
