See, the problem is all of these emotional hacks like
@Melbournelad and
@tmonster (who are decent posters but seem to live in this world where there are no threats, only the USA is bad, and asserting yourself is literally being like hitler.
They argue like young liberal college kids. I get it. I was once one of those...free of responsibility) and others who think that all of these emotional arguments do anything to address the very real problems of employment, social and public identity, and government control. These things are at the core of the nation and have a very real effect on the masses of people who only manage to etch out a meager existence of their own.
They want to hold the USA to a standard no other nation does, yet when we "break up families" its like we're the bad guy. Its just not true. There are rules that we have in place and we can't just abandon them to make people feel better. Immigration used to be about getting the best and the brightest...now its about cheating the system (which is in need of reform, i'll admit) and getting ahead of others who have way more to offer the country than cheap labor and non-english speakers.
