Nah. You want my choice I'd rather keep net neutrality, cause im like everyone else, I'd rather pay less than more for what I already have access to.

I'm looking at shyt realistically....it also helps that I remember a life before the internet. Even with all of the innovations in the information age, can we really say our quality of life has improved over the past 20 years? I'm going to say not really. The internet has become a drug for a lot of people, maybe they need to be weaned off of it.

Not to get on some randian shyt, but why do y'all feel you "deserve" the internet? It's a service being provided to you by others, they control what you can and can't access...they always have.... you just upset now cause they are starting to flex. People like me will pay extra for YouTube and shyt like that and keep it moving. The rest of y'all scratching your necks like fiends cause you can't get your hourly dopamine fix. That's not a healthy way to live.

One of the greatest tools for free speach, networking, and acquiring information is about to enter a slow death and even though you could see it coming from a mile away, no one cared to look until it was way too late to do anything about it

The paid packages wont come right away, internet providers know people wont accept wholesale changes at once, the changes will be gradual so people will slowly begin to compromise on what they can deal with and do without. But really the scary part about all of this will be the ability for ips to restrict any content they want, and essentially turn the internet into a propaganda machine for their own purposes.

Oh well, im bout to start downloading a bunch of pdfs and video tutorials on anything ive vaguely been intersted in over the years.

This. Everybody knows about it, nobody wants it, but seriously politicians just do what they want.

People roll over and politicians along with those in power know it. They also know we'll get mad at each other "how can you not care about this!!" rather than turning attention to those writing the rules.

The most people do today is post their frustrations on the internet or protest if pushed.

Supporters of either party/side will fight each other, but they won't go after the people in power, because those people in power will call for protection: police and National Guard.

Which is funny because while those in power commit crimes against millions at a time, the police who's job is to protect and serve the communities, protect the warlords. I can't blame the power players, can't blame the people, but I do blame robotic enforcement who blindly follow what they're told. We're in this position because of that. Imagine if the majority of those who signed on to protect and serve said "no." Then you'd have a warlord with no power. Who'd be scared of them?

Hiding behind a shield of weaponry makes it easier to make the rules. That's how helpless 99% of the population are. Billions of people are against this and a few hundred people will carry it out.

Exactly what I was talking about yesterday to myself. Last year really exposed where a lot of people are at mentally. Sadly these same people never smartened up. They went right back to doing the same shyt before they were engaging in their flux activism. It's fukking cringe worthy. Folks are literally being controlled, manipulated, programmed and etc without realizing it
