I said the other day, homie was lucky they only got suspended for running up in Ted serandos meeting. Can't say I'm shocked at the outcome. In any other job, you'd get fired on the spot :camby:

NO
Y’all is wild flagrant out here sometimes, y’all should keep a lower profile for this sites sake when it comes to social issues like this. Do y’all really have the energy to truly hate other human beings like this that haven’t done anything to you? I know for a fact that the majority of the folks on this site are truly good people, with positive energy, and genuinely good hearts, but when these threads take off it’s almost like some people black out and say some of the wildest and mean spirited things they can think of. If y’all don’t agree with this shyt, you should ignore it, the easiest way for things you don’t like to gain power starts with how much energy and attention each person gives it. Live and let live, ignore and you never have to think about it again.
Cowardly shyt like this is why this has festered like it is. Other people are told to snuff it from the crib before it becomes to powerful to control, black males are told to ignore it so it can gain power. I’ve said this time and time again this ignore “tactic” NEVER WORKS. :camby:

The person fired was fired for leaking internal documents. Not for organizing a walkout. These headlines are written this way for people to be angry about shyt that didn't even happen because they know you folks don't read the actual article.

That's not accurate either. If you read the article, it says the employee was fired on "suspicion" of leaking the documents. Even though that same employee spoke out AGAINST the leaking of the documents because she felt it was going to hurt the walkout, not help.

And as the article further explained, there were numerous white employees who spoke publicly about those same metrics, but only the black employee got axed.

Don't know the ins and outs of Netflix's work environment cuz I don't work there, but going by The Verge article it does in fact appear that Netflix used the leaking of company data, which may or may not have been leaked by the person in question but was definitely discussed publicly by other employees, as a means of silencing her and hurting efforts of employees to organize and protest a company decision.

So in a nutshell, YES. People are in here celebrating a black employee getting fired for voicing dissent against company decisions, not to mention taking the word of a multi-billion dollar corporation on face value...........because they've punished someone they also hate.

Wonder where I've seen that type of behavior before?

:ohhh:
