this my first time hearing about a damn sequel…although I liked it, reviews were heavily mixed for the first one overall

The first apparently did blockbuster numbers for them despite the mixed reviews so they’ve been trying to get another one off the ground for a fee years. It seems like they finally had a script everyone liked so it was getting fast tracked before Slapgate.
