Makes them more money. Divide and conquer
but shows rarely crossover
and ain't nobody got time to watch all these shows

I remember Ireland Netflix allowing you to watch breaking bad 24 hours after it aired
Canada is great for movies. You got movies like age of ultron and tomorrowland already up. Its got a lot of new big budget movies but a lot of lesser known piff too.
Canada netflix also confirmed to be the only region getting star wars the force awakens when it drops.
