I doubt they care too much about users who aren't paying for their service.
They do care about viewership #'s...that's one of the measurements for competing w/ the other streaming services. Less shared accounts = lowered viewership #'s.
In the end, they're just trying to squeeze every dollar they can out of ppl, getting their customers right to the brink of cancelling the service. They want to see how much they can squeeze without causing cancelations en mass.
I have someone's log in, and netflix is the service that I watch the least, there's nothing currently on there that I care to watch. Squid games and stranger things aren't that dope to me, so if I have to lose the ability to stream netflix I won't care...plus my girl won't be able to watch all that dating show trash
