another price mistake for those interested.. Office Depot has this advertised as $99 in its sales ad today. some stores are already declining to sell, try to price match somewhere else.

FYI the USB ports on these routers are bugged and don't work. after a day you get permission denied on any file on the attached hard drive on them. I had to get a MyCloud instead of using the router's USB. Other than that they're great.

I've reached my limits with this router. I should have never sold my Asus set. I'm going to Best Buy right now to get the Asus AC87R and I'm gonna list one of these on eBay and if the other one acts up in bridge mode I'll look for a different solution and list that one too.

My WiFi performance took a dive off a cliff over the last few days. I'm talking about 355kb/s transfer speeds on my video files. I can't use Plex because its so slow now its not even streaming. I'm getting 1 mbps download speeds on my iPhone and iPad. The performance is just unacceptable. Beyond that the USB port on the damn thing isn't really usable for an external hard drive because it corrupts data and denies access for file permissions.

I can sell this thing for more than I paid for it so off it goes.

I sold the AC68 for $115 on eBay and the AC66 sold for like $80. They paid for these Nighthawks. I'm keeping one of the Nighthawks and I've listed the other on eBay. I jumped to conclusions on the Nighthawk because it wasn't it's fault the 5GHz WiFi kept dropping out it was my new Sony soundbar communicating with the wireless sub that tanked the whole 5GHz band. Found that out when I plugged up the AC87 and the 5GHz band was giving speeds of 20mbps on speedtest.net and still dropping out. By that point they bidded the Nighthawk up to $31 on eBay so I'm already knee deep in selling it so I'll stay with Asus.

With that second Nighthawk in bridge mode connected to it the new Asus is outperforming the other Nighthawk anyway.
