i know they swept the heat in the reg season but i dont trust that. id still rather play indiana

Same here. Ideally id rather face tor/indy.

I want no parts of chicago tho :whoa:[DOUBLEPOST=1397595267][/DOUBLEPOST]

btw if the nets do this and lose

today

all the raptors wil do is lose tom and let chicago get that third seed and then you end up with the bulls :umadqueen:

and we get the wizards and pacers second round

I think its moreso about them playing Miami in the 2nd than who they face in the first

That's still risky. The marketing potential of being a rookie in LA >>> Milwaukee.

But on the flipside being a starter, roy, all star selection will have it's benefits as a brand endorser as well

the draft is risky. its a lottery and just cause you pick high every year doesn't mean you'll get great players. look at the cavs. everything comes with risk. the nba draft is just a stupid idea. players should be given a choice. they shouldn't be forced to play in city and for a team they don't want.

In the ocean where the sharks be at
In order for the Nets to fall to 6, they would have to lose their next two games (NYK & Cavs) and the Wizards would have to beat tanking ass Boston. Bulls lose tomorrow and the second round is Indy/Bulls & Miami/Nets.

what would you do then with no draft?
something like this:

Some dude on grantland already worked this out. Just let teams sign rookies like free agents. if you got cap space you can offer as much of it as you want to Wiggins or Parker and they can decide where they want to go. Top teams will treat incoming players like vets. you can offer them something like a MLE which every team gets or if you want to overpay you'd need cap space.

I think that system would work well. Top rookies wouldn't always go to top teams cause they'll most likely not have cap space. But it would also allow the top rookies choice. Take $10 million to play in LA or take $20 million to play in Milwaukee.

no rookie is going to take a million to play in LA when they can at least triple that in another city.

Tanking wouldnt be all the way alleviated, but there is a good chance if a team is really bad a rookie wouldnt sign there either. Its actually the fairest way to go about it, and its why no professional sports league would ever do it.
