The Gang banging russian was so busy trying to make a splash and be the king of new York. He even mentioned that he wanted the nets to be viewed as new yorks team instead of the Knicks. Dude spent all that money getting that team and was so in a rush to build a contender instead of actually trying to put a team together organically.
But hey he paid up front all that money for the team and agreed to pay all that money to help the stadium get built while throwing folks out their homes in that area.
