:banderas: Can’t wait to see this

It's crazy cuz IMO the fans want a title and you bring in a rookie head coach? Are they trying to emulate the Kerr project?

Weird but strange move fans paying the salaries expecting a ring you bring in a rookie coach.

My Pops Forever RIP
Nothing right by being leapfrogged for someone with inexperience. I had the misfortune years back of being let go after a private equity firm acquisition, after surviving the two prior acquisitions. After my departure, the lone other Black guy in my department trained a 25 y/o white girl, 15 years his junior, for 6 months and they made her his boss.

Nah. This is bs. Nothing to be grateful for. He put in his time to be head coach of this team and got leapfrogged for someone with less experience
Point is there's 4 other jobs and he's not being sought out by any of them. That's the problem. Jacque Vaughn did a very good job, but he was an assistant under Atkinson and as well as he did in the bubble, half the team was gone and the ones who were gone were gonna have sway over who became coach. Normally when head coaches get hired they get to clean out the staff and pick their own assistants. Vaughn got to stay and got a raise to keep doing the job he's been doing and now (hopefully) is gonna be a name teams consider for head coach. The real issue is why there's 4 jobs not seriously considering Vaughn for their vacancy.

not only that but if KD and Kyrie wanted him there and they hired him as an assistant...what happens to Vaughn if he was signed as head coach and there was a slow start? Constant drum beat of promoting Nash. Vaughn would be looking over his shoulder.

Nash either doesnt make it through 2 full seasons and vaughn is promoted or nash is really successful and vaughn is a top candidate elsewhere
@tremonthustler1 would be the one who has the low-down on this, but I'd imagine that Vaughn's role won't change too much. He'll focus on more of the X's-and-O's and the implementation of the schemes, and Nash will be the Phil Jackson figure, making sure everyone (especially Durant and Kyrie) are on an even keel, mentally.

You ask all the dudes that played alongside Nash throughout his career, and they'll tell you they'd drop everything they had going on in their lives and join the Order of the Nash Sabbath, if he were to ever start a cult.

Ummm.

Instead of making Jacques the highest paid assistant in the league, why not make him head coach and make Nash the highest paid assistant in the league...since one of them has actually been coaching?

No...point is, there’s a racial precedent in my response that you are completely overlooking In my comment. But thats to be expected because youve always seem to cower in those type of discussions. Best way to survive in the newsroom I guess.

KD and Kyrie are going to bully the shyt out Nash.

Nah.
This was their decision.

Superc00ns?? That shyt is facts. I get the sentiment but acting like Steve Nash is some random guy off the street is ridiculous. Y'all are acting like they gave Mark Madsen the job or some shyt.

I get Nash is a HoF player, & he’s an ally for black folks during these times, but he doesn’t have a lick of experience.

Nash is probably the most down with the cause white dude out there, but I don’t like how he can just come in & be the HC over the brother who was already there.

Not saying he won’t be successful, but he needs to prove himself as an assistant first.

Like a few other brehs said, this came from the top (KD and Kyrie). Nets fans just gonna have to accept that. Obviously Nash and KD have in depth knowledge of a proven system.

Honestly idc who they picked I just wanna see my breh on the court again :wow: just get them a serviceable coach

I've seen this happen before in other sports, it's going to be spectacular either way, success or failure.

If both KD/Kyrie are happy with it, that's the main thing.

All these black candidates with years of experience and they get passed off by a dude with no experience.:stopitslime:

Great players usually dont make good coaches....its role players that usually work out
