Nets hire Steve Nash as coach

There's no question Nash is a likeable guy. The question is can he coach and run a team with championship aspirations

As a Nets fan this is either going to be a brilliant move or a disaster. No in between. I know Steve Nash has a lot of cache but I would have been happy of Jacque Vaughn was the head coach, he did a really good job and deserved the nod.

Instead of making Jacques the highest paid assistant in the league, why not make him head coach and make Nash the highest paid assistant in the league...since one of them has actually been coaching?

They gave a 4 year deal to a Guy who has NEVER coached a day at the Pro Level.

So you bypass Jacque Vaughn for Steve Nash. SMH. This how they do Black coaches? Lets see how @NYC Rebel spins this one.

Jason Kidd didn’t have coaching experience either. Lots of guys didn’t and ended up doing well.

The Kidd experiment was a failure so I’d rather not use that as a reference point. My brain isn’t fully functional yet but isn’t Steve Kerr the only success story with 0 coaching experience?


Tbh I think it’s insulting to ask Vaughn to be an assistant to Nash after the work he just put in.
