On March 1, Super Tuesday, Sanders and Clinton will contest 11 states, with a total of 865 delegates up for grabs. According to polls released on Wednesday by Public Policy Polling, Hillary Clinton holds commanding leads in eight of those states, and also maintains a narrow lead in a ninth state, Oklahoma. :takedat:

Of the Super Tuesday states, only Sanders’ home state of Vermont and its New England neighbor Massachusetts appear to be firmly in the Bernie Sanders camp, according to the PPP polls.:ehh:

Five of the Super Tuesday states — Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Georgia and Virginia — are in the southeast, where Clinton is believed by most political experts to hold her “firewall” of invulnerability and polling results appear to bear out the conventional wisdom.

Not only does Clinton lead Sanders by no less than 22 percentage points in each of those five Southeastern states, in the PPP poll, she also has a stranglehold on the state of Texas, with its 222 delegates, leading Sanders 57 to 34 there. And, in Louisiana, which holds its primary just four days after Super Tuesday on March 5, Clinton holds a dominating 60-29 lead.:whoo:

Bernie lost the Black Vote in Nevada on the level that a republican would lose in a general damn near. The Hispanic vote looked Split as well as the White Vote. It's not that people aren't voting for Bernie but I don't see how he can win the nomation if Black Folk aren't voting for him in higher than 20%. So what happen? Why are Blacks supporting the Clintons even after some of their politics weren't good for us? Familiarity is one reason. But also the Black Political Establishment Class has a better infastructure than the Black youth political class overall.

Bernie won the youth but the Black Youth broke Hillary's way in Nevada so he doesn't have the Black Youth across the board. He has the White youth for sure. Also Hillary has a history and a lot of famous Blacks do support her. I mean getting Morgan Freeman was big. Also as I said during the debate, Bernie bad Obama talk is going to hurt him with Blacks and it did. Black people support Obama Legacy as the first Black President, Hillary may be calculated with that attack but it worked. Bernie can't be coming off as dissing Obama. He has a problem with the Black Vote with these results, there's no spinning it. If he loses big in South Carolina than that will put a stamp on it.

So what you are saying is that most disadvantaged economic group in America is voting for a politician who will continue to widen that wealth disparity in the name of familiarity? :ohhh:

It's really sad that most black politicians follow the establishment so closely but often fail their constituents.

I really wish more black people, especially younger ones, voted in the midterms.

Did Bernie win the Latino vote? Nate Silver was skeptical of those polls because Hilary won all of the Latino counties.

This is the truth.

This needs to change.

One of the stories I read was that the exit polling that showed Bernie winning the Latino vote excluded Clark County which is a major exclusion since Clark County has the highest number (around 40% of the population) of Latino residents in NV. And Hillary won Clark County handily which throws those early exit polls into question.
