Yeah, I see what you saying. I did see it back then but I still wasn't taking it seriously, even after he made the party nominee. Trump did stoop to the lowest common denominator that no Republican would ever dare do before and they felt like he was speaking for them, that's why they call it the "silent majority".

Anyone catering to racist and white supremacist should have been taken serious from the jump, but people got blinded by the ratings and money that Trump brought in to realize it. It shouldn’t have taken the Capitol Riot situation to wash their hands clean of him if we’re being honest as he should been thrown the bushes years ago instead of helping to promote his message even if it wasn’t intentional.

We still here on some edgy, right wing adjacent "I told you so" shyt celebrating "HILLARY LOST LULZ! HILARY SO FAKE" like politics is all a joke I see. Like the guy that beat her out and his entire messed up family weren't the greatest offender right to our faces of all the internet gossip and conspiracy BS folks invented about "TEH CLINTONS!!!!"

I wonder honestly what the entire course of history would be today if Trump lost. Nearly a million Americans would be alive, we would not be wearing masks 2 years later or just coming out of complete lockdowns, the job market would still be steady and strong, economy would not be just coming out of a complete freefall, relationship with rest of the world would be respected, no white power insurrection setting the stage for damn coups, white supremacist and conspiracy theorists would still be on the bowels of YouTube search results instead of running for Congress, liberal policies tackling economic disparities in race and gender would have been passed instead of "Make America Great Again" nonsense.

And we would all be living better and healthier lives in just about every regard.

People had every right to believe Hilary was gonna win. She was clearly the more qualified candidate, while Trump was an ego driven buffoon who was gonna get people killed, divide the country, destabilize our government, and ruin a good economy. So said and so done. The only thing folks predicted a Trump presidency would result in that didn't happen was another war. And not without trying again and again to the point his own generals had to go behind his back. How much of a shallow dap fishing poser do you have to be to still be clowning on Hilary at this point?

I agree that she (and Dems in general) took her win for granted, but that tweet ain’t shyt. Candidates often refer to themselves as the next president (or whatever they’re running for) when in the campaign trail. That’s pretty much standard practice. Every political rally I’ve ever seen introduce the candidate as “And now, the next __________….” It’s meant to instill excitement in the base.

Breh...

I figured that something was up when they had the Obamas and Beyonce campaigning for her a few days before the election. It felt like a last ditch effort to drive people to the polls.

You're talking to a group of folks that see celebrities and former President's coming out for the last days of a Presidential campaign and think "this must be a last ditch effort to get people to the polls. I'm on to them."

:mjlol::mjlol::mjlol:

These dudes don't get politics beyond bandwagon jumping charlatan musings like this shyt.

Now since we're on the subject, it's also ironic that people blamed Russia meddling for her losing when we now see that Trump actually has mad supporters like that and that his win wasn't a fluke at all :ld:

They knew Trump had enough supporters to win. The point of the Russian social media campaign wasn't to get people to support Trump it was to instill a bunch of doubt, skepticism and negative headlines about HIllary Clinton and Democrats with an entire (dishonest) internet smear campaign against both while propping up "voting third party" and "what have you gotten for your vote" nonsense in order to get people that would have voted for Clinton to sit out (which is a passive vote for Trump). They targeted African Americans in particular knowing that getting us to largely sit out would be the biggest factor in keeping states red and a pathway for Trump to win. And it was successful.

If you post on TLR or Twitter for more than ten minutes you see that these online right wing smear campaigns target AAs is still alive and strong and folks are still falling for the shyt.

Your point would hold more validity if they weren't bias in favor of Biden during the election season even in spite of giving Trump more airtime and publicity. They literally helped shield his son from criticism out of the fear that it would negatively effect Biden and they're still covering for him till this day.

They were literally playing both sides of the spectrum and then got spooked when the Capitol Riot situation happened and they tried to pivot towards washing their hands of the situation that they created.

Peddling right wing Fox News conspiracy theories about both "THE MEDIA!!!" and Hunter Biden. Bet you're not MAGA tho. Oh no. Bet I can't find one quote of you saying you support Trump so you must not support him. Yup. I'm sure these Fox News-adjacent takes on Hilary, Biden and the past two elections while passively celebrating "how much support Trump had" is pure independent thought and not supportive of the guy at all. Oh yeah.

The Big 3 news networks covered Trump's kids the entire time :laff:

I know you're a Democratic stooge, but keep it 100. The Russia situation was mainly the media trying to find a way to justify Hilary losing instead of just admitting the part that they played in it and the fact that Hilary was just a flawed candidate. It's exactly what I said in my original post that Hilary still takes no blame for what transpired.

It was essentially one flawed candidate against another and unfortunately the worst one won out.

Breh is up in this thread doing his best Sean Hannity impression--talmbout Hunter Biden--calling other people "Democrat stooges." Only on TLR.

I call out the hypocrisy of the media and done it on more than one occasion. If you don’t see it, then that’s on you. Read through my posts in this thread and you’ll obviously see I’m not MAGA and blame the media from Trump coming into power :yeshrug:

The media was scared to cover any negative story involving Hunter Biden as they didn’t want to take the chance of it causing Trump to win. It was always obvious and it’s okay as it helped get Trump out of office, but that still doesn’t mean that we have to shield and cover for dude now.

I’m not going to cape and defend the white man, so if you choose to do that, then it’s on you.

I blame Obama for her losing. Let me explain myself…

By the end of Obama’s presidency, people were sick and tired of his smarmy elite identity politics. The first tranny to do this, the first gay to do this, the first women to do this, etc etc and on and on it goes. They thought they could just coast on this shyt but in the real world nobody gave a fukk about some tranny becoming the first sherif or whatever. Meanwhile people were actually suffering in the real world and Hilary looked she was going to carry on that same shyt for another 8yrs.

Whatever you think of trump, he was a breath of fresh air and wasn’t going to carry out that nonsense. People just voted for him to spite the Obama “liberal” clique, and not have to endure their fake trash. WOf course trump was so awful that by the end of his presidency people wish Hilary had worn but it was too late for her.

Congress didn’t help matters either with the government shutdown right before the election as it only added more fuel to the narrative that people tired and frustrated. Unfortunately, Trump saw and opening because of the bickering and used it towards his advantage.

Even now, Congress has essentially went back to the status quo of operations now that Trump is gone and obviously didn’t learn their lesson.

Bullshyt we have a trash system is the primary reason she lost. The second reason she lost is her arrogance. She could of had this shyt just by simply asking Bernie Sanders to join the ticket but nope decide to be arrogant.
