This nikka in here telling y’all what is pretty much a fact in that most meat probably gonna taste weird or plain without the seasoning, and you fat fukks wanna get y’all panties in a bunch. Except I was responding to this poster's statement specifically about chicken
It is not special in any way other than we have chosen it as food
And most people don't want to hear the uncomfortable truth about our choices because ignorance is bliss
It's very similar to racism and many things our society does because it's habit, easy, or comfortable to continue the status quo

we had pigs, cows, a few goats, hunting dogs and chickens.
my grandfather (and almost everyone else) grew cotton, corn and soybeans.
lotta field work, lotta garden work (black eyed peas, butterbeans, mustard/turnip/cabbage greens, watermelons, cantaloupe, squash, apricot/peach/pear/plum/persimmon/pecan trees, blackberries
feeding the animals, catching them when they got out of their pens, killing snakes and the like, getting stung up by wasps, bees, hornets, horseflies and ants
lotta the time, we only ate what we hunted, fished for, grew or bartered for. I've eaten.... a lot of woodland animals
we had a washing machine but no dryer, so you had to hang your clothes on clothes lines and hoped the hunting dogs didn't snatch them down and drag them all over the yard
no cable TV (we had 8 local stations, and 3 pairs of those were actually the same station, just on 2 different channels) but picked up stations from way out when it rained.
No garbage trucks or recycling, so we either burned our trash or took it to the local dump once a week.
Speaking of trash, the education system was just that. But it's not their fault. It was just folks with jobs. No real teaching involved.
And I hated it all.

Between Chicken, Duck and Turkey… I prefer Chicken. Chicken tends to be a more fatty bird while duck and turkey have more lean cuts.
Different meats have different tastes, especially when you compare wild animals to farmed animals. Goat, Lamb, Cow, Bison, and Deer all have differing tastes. People may have differing preferences too, but the meat still tastes different.
