that shyt isain't it. to think, with all the bootlegging and releases, he still got more songs in the can. hell, he might even have more.
I can name at least 20 unheard tracks that have been confirmed. There's supposed to be an enitre song with Pac dissing Nas, too.

Whoa... Have we really
Been eating 20 years off pacs music
And new releases
What if theres much more yet to be unreleased and nikka will be relevant for 100 years after death
Lets be reality brehs, who is thought about from 40+ years ago?
You can tell what Tupac's intention with Makaveli was . . to make a perfect album. That's why it's 12 tracks to fit with American traditional standards for an album (14 in UK) - where as Me Against the Worldis 15 tracks - just prior to the release of Makaveli Tupac spoke of Me Against the World in high-regard - he also mentioned that he wanted to do a Me Against the World 2I'm glad Pac decided to drop songs like "nikkaz Nature", "Lost Souls" and "Watch Ya Mouth" from Makaveli. They don't really fit the darker vibe/production at all.

He made 20 songs in that session and he picked 12
"nikkaz Nature" was probably left off as the result of a sample clearance - plus he already made "They Don't Give a fukk About Us" . . and there's word that he intended to have Michael Jackson come in and perform the chorus
"Lost Souls" could easily replace "Krazy", it's in a similar vain
"Watch Ya Mouth" may of been a cut on the original premise that Suge Knight was encouraging Tupac to do an entire diss album and Tupac took the album in a different direction
But "toss it up" and "just like daddy" do?I'm glad Pac decided to drop songs like "nikkaz Nature", "Lost Souls" and "Watch Ya Mouth" from Makaveli. They don't really fit the darker vibe/production at all.

Exactly,i like lost souls over just like daddy![]()
This would have been an interesting release, it was supposed to be completely positive. If you look at the songs he recorded during that period (February-April) you have: "Happy Home", "Letter To The President", "Mama's Just A Little Girl", "Never Call U bytch Again", "Never Had A Friend Like Me", "This Ain't Livin'", "They Don't Give A fukk About Us", "Teardrops & Closed Caskets", "Thug N Me" (the only confirmed track), "Until the End of Time", "When Thugs Cry", Words 2 My First Born", etc. I wonder why he scraped this idea (I guess in favour of doing the Makaveli album)...hopefully a tracklist will surface one day.
"Lost Souls" is too upbeat for the album. The production on "nikkaz Nature" and "Watch Ya Mouth" doesn't fit the album at all either. They would have felt out of place, imo. But whatever the reasons, I'm glad Makaveli was released the way it was. The biggest omission was "When Thugs Cry", though.
*All the songs were cut between 28/07/96 and 06/08/96.
I've never thought of it like that . . apparently the album was put on hold in favor of the Makaveli album. He did mention it in the August interview with Sway so I think we would've gotten it in 1997. Where as All Eyez on Me was made in 2 weeks and the Makaveli album was made in 7 days if Tupac was already working on this album for months, putting it aside and coming back to it later . . as well as speaking of the original Me Against the World in such high regard . . this would probably be a project he placed on a pedestal . . perhaps his album release if he were to of went back to jail following the appeal, or for him to release during the court proceedings - seeing the album through the picture you painted . . I'm gonna go make myself a playlist now I really never thought of it like that
"Tongue Kissing" would be on there too right? That song was ready to be a hit

Could you imagine how epic that album would've been? He might've even had "Changes" on there with "Until the End of Time"![]()
"Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find" was the last track recorded for All Eyez on Me. He was released in October and the album was out in February - I imagine the turn in date would've been around DecemberYeah, "Tongue Kissin'", "U Can Be Touched", "Baby Don't Cry", "Good Life", "Thugz Mansion", "Who Do U Believe In" (late January). I've been meaning to make my own tracklist for this period too.
All Eyez on Me definitely wasn't recorded in two weeks. It took three months. "Heaven Ain't Hard 2 Find" and "No More Pain" were most likely recorded in December, for example. You also have to remember that the whole "Makaveli was recorded in 3 or 7 days" isn't exactly set in stone either...
"When Thugs Cry" - February 2nd (Edited: July 25th)
"Toss It Up" - June 7th, July 25th, Augest 1st (Remix), 5th September (Ending adlibs)

"Friends" - July 8th
"Hail Mary" - July 8th
"Killuminati" - July 8th
"Lost Souls" - July 8th
"Let Em Have It" - July 10th
"Bomb First" - July 15th, Augest 4th (Intro)
"nikkaz Nature" - July 16th
"To Live & Die In LA" - July 17th

"Watch Ya Mouth" - July 19th
"Blasphemy" - July 23rd
"White Man'z World - July 25th
"Just Like Daddy" - Augest 12th
Those are the dates according to the report. The funny thing is, it's not just that document supporting it. There are actual pictures of the reels available with dates written on them. But that's still not enough for some people, right? Personally I'll take the documentation/reels over the word of the producers memory any day.
. . but information on Tupac's studio sessions aren't as organized as information on the studio about The Beatles where they literally have notes from every single session and people know about session, every song and every take"Run up on you like CJ from San Andreas""I wrote this shyt a long time ago. A real long time ago"

^ in this video Tupac mentions doing the album in two weeks . . of course making one last track that makes the cut before submitting it wouldn't be out of the realm of reality. It seems that everyone involved in the Makaveli project claims it took place over the course of 3-7 days, with "Toss It Up" being included from earlier summer sessions once they decided it was going to be a commercial release rather than Tupac's plan of a swap meet underground tape (which is an artistic pipe dream)
