My brother just told me he read that Amazon checks enrollment now for student accounts. :lupe: I graduated last year. I hope it's not true :sadcam:

$50 for prime is nice.

It's probably worth $100 though, so I guess if they catch me I'm down an extra $50. Oh well :manny:

Yeah, personally those perks aren't worth anything to me. I primarily buy hardcover books. Video I have Netflix, Hulu, and a ton of content through Kodi. Music I just use Pandora on the go, or Youtube. The free shipping is what's cool for me, but I don't buy enough to really care about that. They usually have free shipping on orders over $35 and if I want something particularly fast I'll just drive down to Best Buy and pick it up myself. Not taking away anything from the deal. It's just not for me.

How old are you?

I hate how amazon treats it's employees, but this is an incredible deal for gamers who buy games on DAY 1.

Amazon Prime Video now does what Netflix won't: offline playback

Amazon has been making real strides in its attempt to catch up to Netflix, and today the company is delivering a feature that arguably leapfrogs its streaming competitor in sheer utility: offline playback for both iOS and Android devices. An update to the company's mobile video apps for each platform — now renamed "Amazon Video" — lets Prime subscribers download the service's streaming titles for viewing, just as customers had been able to do on Amazon's line of Fire devices. The change takes one of the biggest inconveniences of streaming services and removes it from the equation entirely. Now, if you're in the middle of binging Downton Abbey and need to jump on a plane, you won't have to go without; you'll be able to download a number of episodes and take the Crawleys with you.

Damn, that's an L for them. There were times where I wanted to watch Netflix while on airplane mode.

They gonna do that for consoles too?
