one thing i did like was the motivations was a direct response to the new Capt movie. No Avengers, President turned into the hulk. Oh shyt we need something or someone to defend us just in case some shyt goes down again.

Problem now is power scaling in the MCU, when they were promoting Capt Marvel they flat out said she was gonna be the strongest moving forward, but we have someone out there with the power of ALL the avengers and the GOTG. This movie states that Sentry is more powerful than all the Avengers combined

I mentioned it in the Doomsday thread, but I like how Marvel is playing into the “Not my Avengers” thread. It’s interesting meta commentary and really, I don’t think there’s any other way to cut around how shaky things have been for them over the past years without looking outright silly ignoring it.

A big missed opportunity I thought though was the rest of the team guiding the each other through their own rooms of hell before regrouping with Bob and Yelena.

It’s certainly different. Lot of soul in the writing and comes across like an A24 x Marvel joint. They were smart to market it that way.
