Entertainment is the new Trojan Horse. You can degrade & insult Black people as much as you want as long as you set the insult over a hot beat or let Mona Scott produce it. Meanwhile, whatever insult you put in the "entertainment" starts to become socially accepted.
This show could have never been made 10-20 years ago, because WE would've shut that bullshyt down with the quickness. Now, because it's en vogue to bash us on all forms of media, the young kids live down to the images of us that they see on VH1, or hear on their favorite rap song.
Think about it: Nicki Minaj, Cardi B, Kanye, or some other c00n are all over tv and radio all day, every day. They're "entertaining" to some, but they also reinforce negative stereotypes of Black people (I know Cardi isn't fully Black). A show about dikk Gregory or Dr. Mae Jemison could be just as entertaining, but positivity doesn't sell.
