I can see from the outside how it looks crazy, however, in UC's African American make up less than 4% of the student population. Hispanics were around 10% last time I checked. They are doing this ahead of time so that if it passes they will be able to normalize the numbers to make it so school's like UCLA and Berkley aren't damn near HACU's. The only problem is that North African's are about to get F'd and lose some of their spots to whites.Why does the state need to know the race of their people? What are they trying to do...?

Africans who speak Arabic sometimes mark white, since Arabs(Middle Easterners, North Africans) are classified as white.
