I was watching his series of videos :mjlol:
$9,000 in 2 years worth of repair :mjcry:

why would you buy a 2006 Range Rover in 2013 though ? Outside to fake stunt to people who didnt know any better of the year range ? If he couldnt stunt with a newer version then he shouldnt of got the car -- if his reason is "for family reasons" he could of got a 2013 Honda Pilot at probably same monthly price (unless he bought the range rover flat out) with a 0.9% interest rate (if he had good credit).

I cant think of a single reason to buy a 2006 range rover, outside of fake stunting..

Its different in 2012-2014 models (for any car) because by 2012 "luxury" items like bluetooth, back up camera, and in some cases even navigation are even standard even in regular cars let alone luxury cars. Since 2012 cars havnt really pushed the envelope of technology outside of improving these features and a few new ones like sway technology.

But in 2006, 2005, 2004, basically anything before 2010-2011.. Buying a way older car.. for what? outside of exterior body style / fake stuntin

He drives an Aston Martin, probably just wanted to the Range for fun and got a good deal.
You're overthinking this a bit, he gets paid to review cars for a living.

I know enough about cars. Check my post history here for my Manheim thread.

Land Rovers of all kinds have been shytting the bed ( with the exception of maybe the Defender) before there was an internet to hate on them. Not much has changed since. The reputation is notorious for a reason.

Sure. It's short money (because depreciation after 3 years is over 50%!!!!) luxury SUV and makes you look like you're balling out. And we know it was probably some Newport Beach house wife that probably gently drove it before it hit the off lease auctions. But I wouldn't drive one across the country.

But do you. My CLS63 was an unreliable POS shyt too as soon as my manufacturers warranty expired. But I still loved it. And I wouldn't drive that across the country either.
question breh!
so by design (besides lexus) are all luxury cars meant to be unreliable pieces of shyt?

I honestly don't know but I have a hypothesis that is the more electronics you use in a car the greater the malfunctions the car will get...:ld:

I don't think they are intentionally designing these cars to be unreliable.

It's just that some brands (eg German) are quicker to throw the latest tech (turbo motors, adaptive suspension, etc) into vehicles with less time dedicated to quality control, whereas the Japanese brands are slower to adopt that same tech, at the cost of performance, to maintain better reliability. It's only been just recently that the Japanese brands started to introduce turbo motors in mainstream north american products, long behind their less reliable competitors.

Not designed to be so. Just a result of them being over engineered and having bleeding edge technology.

Adding to that Lexus has a giant vetted parts bin from Toyota to pick and choose from. Range Rovers are bespoke. One of a kind. It doesn’t share platforms for the most part. They are relatively low volume. So they break more often.

It’s nothing against Range Rover. It’s just the way it works.
