I mean yeah but that doesn't defend the fact that they get paid less.

The NFL brings in nearly 3x the revenue that the NBA does yet their salary cap isn't even double the NBA's. That doesn't add up.

To be fair though, the NBA players have way more leverage than the NFL players. NFL players only have the NFL to make money, but NBA players have the whole world ( international leagues) to make money.

What more could the players want? The salaries are only ascending and free agency is lively.

Many thought they could have seen the new tv deals and wanted more of that money. But I guess the owners are paying out these big salaries so the players may just be getting their money as they want already.

When you see cats like Harrison Barnes get $94 million as a player you would be crazy to be coo with being locked out trying to get more of the pie. Mozgov even broke the bank. They should be cool leaving things as is.

NFLPA has not been organized or savvy enough to fight for their interests in a useful way....

Their members also dont plan well enough to sit out two seasons if necessary

NFL players basically can't play anywhere else. You have a lot of low level players that a work stoppage would effect in a major way. Also the career length probably has something to do with it.

NFLPA players just don't have the leverage to do what it the NBAPA can

Maybe...but they have to start somewhere.... and the first step is getting together with their membership years in advance and getting the players in shape financially to handle a prolonged work shortage

Give the owners another Amnesty clause :feedme:
I have a feeling the Heat are gonna need one with Tyler Johnson in a couple years if he doesn't blossom into a star (probably not likely) and they can't trade him after next season (pretty likely). :sadcam:
Those year 3 & 4 numbers look :scust: right now
