I never said that. In fact I was one of the few people pointing out how Cena main evented many successful Wrestlemanias.

People forget how big of a draw Cena was.

3 of the top 5 highest all-time Wrestlemania buyrates had Cena in the main event.

And out of those top 5 Wrestlemanias, Shawn Michaels was only in one main event. And guess who his opponent was?

If it was three cacs doing the same shtick some of you would be And like pretty much all heels they aren't over. The New Day chant is but they don't really get much reaction from their promos. It sucks because they are unique compared to the cookie cutter promos most heels cut.

Man, if anything, WWE needs more fun acts like New Day. I don't want another generic stable that takes everything seriously and ends up becoming a joke because booking WILL fukked them over with a bunch of losses.

I'm more than fine with them having 10-20 minutes of fukkery and fun matches every week, with an occasional serious promo or beatdown to sell a feud. I don't need them all serious all the time trying to be a threat on a roster that has 20 people trying to do that and failing miserably. And not everybody has to be fighting for a big belt, they already champions, build towards that and make that belt mean something by creating a good rivalry.

On the same token corny comedy is pervasive in the WWE from the main event down to enhancement talent. So it's not like New Day is in a class of it's own. They are just extremely comedy heavy and these modern "too cool to react" crowds don't respond well to comedy heels. New Day would be insanely over 10 or 15 years ago but a lot of their comedy falls flat on today's shytty crowds. The audience responds better to serious, WELL BOOKED heels. I'm not saying remove all of their trolling/humor but give them an edge. Make them dangerous. People get tired of trolling eventually.

Wasn't revealed by another main eventer that his merch was basically pushed aside to make space for more Cena merch? Easy to be the merch king when the competition is limited on your behalf.

And that's BIG problem with the WWE. They cannot book anybody well, especially for the long term.
Watch any tournament or one-on-one play video on UpUpDownDown, and see how fast Kofi and Xavier can go from fun trolling to wanting to whoop someone's ass. The potential for New Day to evolve from clowning trolls to more vicious trolling a$$holes is there.

It's corny cause it's kind of "refreshing" in a sense.

The bolded isn't true. I didn't have an issue with 3MB a few years ago because it was something different from the norm. I like "comedic" heel stables and comedic heel tag teams. With New Day, imo I would make them just a bit "edgier" if possible but that's not going to happen.

Pretty much. Also, Cena's gonna find a way to end up wearing a unicorn dildo on his head, and New Day will get Zack Ryder'd back down the card.

Ditto to 3MB. I grew to like them a lot even with the little screen time they got, it's just they weren't allowed the chance to break through like New Day did. Some of the WWE .com promos and backstage stuff they were doing was funny as shyt.

I heard from a WWE source several weeks back that WWE Tag Team Champions The New Day were doing great merchandise numbers, thanks to the sales from their t-shirts and socks. Apparently Xavier Woods' 'UpUpDownDown' gear has sold well also.

This is probably why WWE released a bunch of new merchandise for the group on Monday. Kofi Kingston noted on Twitter that the unicorn horns sold out in just 5 hours. He tweeted:

Amazing what being yourself and having input in your character can do wonders for your career.

I don't know what's gotten into Vince, but he letting these brehs cook like crazy with their gimmick. Somebody backstage favors them highly.
