It’s 100% the rights and licensing. It would be a nightmare to attempt in the first place considering how many of these artists/celebs switched labels, management, etc.

When the devs for Smash Bros Ultimate did the same thing bringing back all the past crossover characters, they said they’ll never do anything like that ever again :mjlol:

Not shocking since that was a similar reason as to why more Fight Nights weren't made. The devs said it was a bytch to acquire the rights to all the separate boxers. Considering it's EA I'd assume the higher ups wouldn't sign off on it.

Maybe, but I could also see "powers that be" at Def Jam or EA sports embellishing for the sake of it. Its a video game after all, same reason they exaggerate NBA players heights or pro wrestlers too. there's a larger than life-ness aspect to it.
