In some "small" knock up combos you can can step cancel into another combo. With knockbackback combos and "high" knock-up combos you can guard cancel into another combo.
In teleporting smash combos and most dash around combos you can guard cancel too. Like Beerus dash around combo instantly attacks so you cant guard cancel.
When I say small knockup combos I mean like goku's combo at 0:20 and the high knock up combos are like the majin one at 0:10(but broly used a evasive move) and vegitos at 1:20
In the high knockup ones you can step cancel and fly up instead of teleorting and then guard cancelling. I do it in the super 17 one

Yes and no. Story mode gets easier. But there are truly some fukked up pqs that, if you're a melee character, can be very hard.
