They hit the walls and other cars and nothing happens other than the visual degradation of the car.
the environment gets damaged from crashes. idk about full on body damage but I seen a video of the windows cracking from vehicle impacts.

to go along with visual degradation of the car, they also slowed down and lost control of the car....what else was supposed to happen?...

Sony games seem to be following this trend of being very limited in scope and gameplay options in order to push graphics to the max. I guess their fans like it, but its hard for me to get excited for these types of games. Once the visual wow factor wears off, your usually left with a dull game.

Driveclub is like the racing version of uncharted.

and you come to that conclusion how?....from a few gameplay vids that make the game look fun, which is what matters...

using your comparison: I hope it is the racing version of uncharted, that means the game will be fun as hell....

Ignore him. He's ignoring the multitude of previews that said the game is fun which I posted already. he's a forza/Xbox fan so i know their bias. They're typically full of shyt.

The game is closed courses. The damage is limited to minor paint swaps and scratches There isn't very many cars. The courses seem totally closed in, no chance for off road/short cuts. Seems to be only one type of car, supercars. I have not heard anything about tuning. Customizing cars is limited to unlockable liveries.

It looks good though:manny:

so closed courses is a negative to a racing game now? lol come on man...most racing games have closed courses....

how do you know that's the only damage? you just going off the gameplay vids, in which case, you didn't see the cars slow down and lose control when they hit the wall?...which is happens in most racing games....now, will there be full damage to the cars? don't know, cause haven't played it nor have any vids shown enough of the gameplay to say...

that's bullshyt about the types of cars...they have shown different cars, and they all aren't supercars...

it's not a full sim racing game, so why would anyone care about tuning?...the same goes for customizing the cars....there are other games that do that...if you want that, go play those....driveclub is more along the lines of burnout or need for speed, not gt or forza.....which is cool with me, cause I enjoy the former racing games more....

I didn't notice this, this was my issue.

you need to look at the vid you quoted again...the cars slowed down and/or lost control when they hit the wall....they slowed down when they went off the track.....

Not necessarily a negative. But when the game is arcade style and doesn't have the customization/tuning/physics of a sim game. I'd like the courses to be a bit more open. Those courses are railed in, you can't even cut any corners.

No there isn't full damage. I've seen a car flip over and the only thing it had was scratches.

that's bullshyt about the types of cars...they have shown different cars, and they all aren't supercars...
Which cars did you see that weren't supercars?

And need for speed and other arcade game aren't as limited as driveclub. That's all I was saying.
