I got friends who Are mets fans who say they long for the days of 07' and 08'

Say what you will about those squads though, at least they were in it until the last day. They were in pennant races and were meaningful games to look forward to in september. The last 3 years it's felt like the mets season has been over every late July and early August. 09' they get a pass because the injuries were out of control

I long for the days of 1995 when we at least had hope Generation K would save us. We know how that turned out but at least we had hope.

Can we discuss how the Dodgers just acquired our payroll for the next 3 seasons in one trade? I honest to God think we might be outpriced on Scott Hairtson this offseason, and the Dodgers are just like "fukk it, we'll take Crawford too."

When you consider the one the field performance, off field embarrassment, and the fact we share a city with the most successful franchise in North American sports, the Mets are the hardest team to cheer for out of any sport.

BTW Adam Rubin reported Scot Hairston play may of priced himself out of the Mets range.
