Yeah I personally like the interior but the exterior definitely doesn’t look like a S class. I don’t know who let that slide and hope they rethink that for the next generation. Maybe in person it will look better but I doubt it. The new 7series exterior is way better looking and more fitting of a big car imo.

The A8 and the Flying Spur used to share the same Volkswagen platform and technically they are both classified as "Ultra Luxury" (any car over $100,000).

But you're right that no one would ever consider them in the same 'class' nor would they ever cross shop them.
