I was just having this conversation with my man. Both of our parents were married, but separated when we were two. I'm trynna impress upon him that they aint talking bout his mama.

Old school single mothers were different, or maybe it's the fact that they had, in fact, been married at some point. Idk, but its different. He, his cousin-who-was-like-a-brother, his son, and my brother operate on a totally different type of time.
