I just don't understand how your flow can sound more advanced in 91 than it does in 2025 :what:
Just my opinion but this is how I see the problem with Cube after the 90s - It's like 75% the beat selection, classic Cube style doesn't work on certain beats and it's like 25% Eminem level or Wayne level of cringe bars, like even the songs I'm enjoying from Cube at some point in at least one of the verses he'll say some corny metaphor or wordplay and it just throws everything off.

I feel also like Cube probably doesn't really have anyone around to really be like yo this could be tighter or that's kind ehhh, I think its probably mostly yes men around now and for a lot of the records Cube does hes just getting beats sent his way, a few times here and there he'll get in the studio with an E-A-Ski or Jinx or a T-Mix and you can almost always tell when it's one of those kinda records he sounds at his most tolerable, when hes actually had some competent input from someone with substantial hip hop stripes.

This makes sense cuz I heard an interview from years back where he said he gets in the studio with his sons to make music. They're obviously not capable of critiquing him and he's probably not gonna let them anyway. I think his old flow could work cuz Schoolboy Q said the 92 Cube flow is still the dopest shyt to him and he used it a bit on Blank Face.

It's like watching a once famous actor now take roles in mediocre/borderline garbage movies because he feels like he hasn't earned enough money over his career.

Like what do we have to hear from Cube in 2025? The things he spit in his prime he then later contradicted himself:

Went from "never have a dinner with a president" to wanting to meet him.

Made songs like fukk the police, dissed NWA for bowing down to a white manager, but then decades later he did interviews with racist trash like tucker carlson who's also the police brutality sympathizer. Also Cube running his big 3 company with steve bannon friends, who's a well documented white supremacist.

Made pro-black songs with Public Enemy, etc. but then few years later came back to that mainstream gangsta rap bullshyt with westside connection.

Yall enjoy listening to liars? OK then suit yourself.

Mack 10 need to come back in the fold.
Yep. Mack 10 last song was jamming like hell and Man Down was not good. Like I said when it dropped, it was a reason why GNX dropped on the same day as Man Down. Kendrick knew what he was doing. He was tired of the No Vaseline comparisons from Cube and Cube trying to say his diss was the best and telling Kendrick when he should drop his next diss and blah, blah, blah. I like Cube and I am not a Kendrick fan, but Cube should have just fell back and not say anything and let the beef on wax play out, instead of bringing up what No Vaseline did to NWA like we still want to hear about that almost 35 years later

I was wrong.

Cube in my top 5...but i was wrong.

This album is horrible. Its a few songs to toss on my cube playlist, but ill never revsit this again.

He needs an executive producer and he needs give them control over evertyhing (album concept, song concept, song titles, production choices, song, hook, bar approvals). Some of these hooks are so bad. The song topics are so shallowly covered (freedum).

I wish. Never gonna happen though, I'm sure you're well aware of why they fell out already, but yeah, Cube seems angrier and angrier every time its brought up. It sucks though for sure.

At least if Mack would put out one more album before it's all said and done, hes been saying it's coming soon for a decade now.
That single from a few years ago, King of Chevys, was really nice. But it just came and went.

I tried but this wasn't great

I think Raw Footage was the last time I truly liked a Cube album

Content aside, his current rap style is basically Logic at x0.25 speed lol

Yup, song was dope too, theres allegedly a collab album called Mack Eleven on the way with him and 2Eleven but Mack hasn't even bothered to post about it, album was announced in July but who knows how much of it is completed, I hope it comes out but I'm not gonna hold my breath cause I also remember the announcement that Mack 10s 10th album was dropping 10/10/2010 lol

Its bad bruh.

He needs you or me or whoever the west coast Jermaine Dupri of rap is....ie someone who can guide or criticize or demand top to.bottom.

Someone to say:

"that beat aint it."

"That verse is bad because xyz."

"Say that part over. You dragging the last word and it sounds off."

" you have to address rhe Tucker carlson and Trump shyt."

"You writing lazy...go harder...you ice cube....the coli folly dragging on a dolly for molly is lazy "

"Heres an nteresting rhyme scheme...try to write to it."

"Listen to this song off the Predator, mimic the flow and Ill get xyz to build the beat around it."

"The concept you got for Freedumb is interrsting. But the execution is shallow and lazy. Your audience is smarter than that."

"This beat is ok lets make it better by doing xyz."

"this song is good but it doesn't fit."

"Man up..what a man is in 2025 is a good concept, but lets go deeper. It cant just be being tough or speaking up. If so what does that mean?"

Basically Cube is an all timer who was born to rap.but Tiger Wood had coaches, Jay was surrounded by young talent that kept him sharp. Cube needs all that.
