I can kinda see that with the counter culture dealing with the aftermath of Nixon's and Ford's administration. Don't think Invasion of the Body Snatchers was the best film to convey that message.

It may not have been the best vehicle lol but it worked

'78 is way, way better than '56.

Especially when you take into account that they were only 22 years apart. Meaning this new one that comes out will be further apart in time from the 90's version than the Sutherland one was from the black and white original. Huge progress.

I copped '93 some time ago in bargain bin. Donald Sutherland is always on TV though...just like 79 Amityville.

Spin-off, since there are some comparisons here, I love 50's The Blob, but hate Johnny Drama's. However, I've always loved the satirical The Stuff
