just accept the fact the Phones are also a status thing like watches.
Nobody cares if you got a casio watch with a dozen more features than the rolex. The rolex is still the prestige brand
Text bubbles are not status. Unlike a Rolex you are also not even getting a better quality product with an iPhone compared to a droid. You can buy better droids. iPhones are a status thing to people who are not tech oriented. Therein lies the issue. A watch can be worn as fashion accessory. A phone is really a tool.
