The name pookie had become part of American culture where everybody knows the meaning without even seeing the movie. Can’t say the same thing for Scarface even tho it was a great movie
fukk you talkin bout, you say montana and even some monk in fukking tibet knows thats tony, scarface is larger than life/a cultural monster, you won‘t even have to say the name and just show a close up pic of the white suit or the hawaiian shirt and everybody knows the deal
"and that last shootout at the end which is piff" says everything we need to know.Scarface has maybe one good scene, and that last shootout at the end which is piff, other than that the movie is kinda wack outside of the set design and the era it's set in
but New Jack City
The basketball court scene
the first club scene
when they take over the carter
"for the love of money"
nino passing out the turkeys is classic
chris rock as pookie, tragic
the meeting after the carter? woooooo
"cancel that bytch, I'll buy another" c'mon now
action scenes is kinda cartoonish, but they work
when nino killed g-money?
the court scene?
other than corny ass Ice T, you just can't compare gritty ass 90's New York to 80's Miami.
"and that last shootout at the end which is piff" says everything we need to know.
YES: it's a hood classic (I actually just copped 2 Blu-Ray copies) and it's a classic 99% thanks to Wesley Snipes
NO: On no planet is Scarface a less influential, impressive movie, Brian dePalma directed it breh..
if you're in the west I'm in your time zone lil boythe fukk you know about "hood classics" when you stay in Sweden nikka.
New Jack City is not a good movie
