Joey is just a wave rider. Like most recent 'real hip hop' rappers. see. Kendrick and J Cole. They come into the game on that cliche backpack shyt for legitimacy, then try urban pop or flat out pop. Some stick, most fail due to lack of marketing/charisma/timing. They were never hip hop fans like that anyway. We could tell.

Joey is my favorite youngin in the game but I appreciate your clear breakdowns :ehh:

Y'all the same type of nikkas that got Nas trapped in a corner with his music back in the day. This song is cool, nice lil switch up. Same dudes complaining about joey rocking boom bap when he was born after that era died sitting here mad that he's trying a more current sound..:camby:
:stopitslime:I wouldn't mind him tryin a more current sound if it actually sounded good

Man you guys really aren't understanding how much of a positive this is for him. He's almost there where he's making his style digestible without selling out. Might not be his biggest record but definitely the biggest improvement to survive in this era. This is what Kendrick was trying to do on Alright.

Not bad. A nice switch up. Feels like cudi. I can see Cudi killing that hook. It's good to see him approaching different styles.
