I liked this song. First listen i just kinda played in the background. Second I turned the volume up and took it in. Really heartfelt joint and writing it from his mom's perspective was creative little touch. Don't see why it's getting all this hate. This is the type of joint to pull at emotions on an album and one of the cuts that are what make albums complete. I'm sure there will be plenty of songs on it for everyone to like if they don't like this. This is like the Hey Mama record from Late Registration. Lets you know where he's at in his life and continues his narrative of his life throughout his albums.

But I've heard similar murmurings about Kendrick's I and J Cole's Be Free records/performances. If these are the kinds of songs that you guys can't fukk with cuz of a little off key singing then that's you. I'll take all those songs and keep em in rotation cuz of the emotions that accompany them and the realness and rawness of them.

i loved 808's and i liked when he used the autotune on MBDTF but i feel the autotune kinda takes away from the sincerity of the record.
it's got a nice little story to how it came about but i didn't feel it...appreciate what he was trying to do it's not something i'd listen to regularly.

but the bars low these days..i mean we have people calling Cole's new album "powerful"
but if his album makes you feel like that and this Kanye had some sort of impact on you, then more power to you.

speaking of him.i have to wonder how many people shytting on this song, if it didn't have autotune and had that kinda squeezed out/pained singing that Cole does sometimes would they like it ?
