Great interview

Wish they talked about Lord Finesse vs Lords Of The Underground

Didn't know him and Joe had issues

Not that much to it really.

1. He didn't like how they called themselves "Lords", he was the only ""Lord" out there.
2. They had no "Underground" rep to speak of. They popped outta nowhere with a big promotional push & 5 videos.
3. He probably didn't think they were all that nice.

It was moreso because of Mr. Funky.. Finesse used to call himself the funky technician and the funky man .. even had the single return of the funky man.. SO when Lords dropped he took offence to Mr Funky "stealing his name"

Can I get a link besides soundclick ... that doesnt work at the job

That beat is so ill, but the song itself felt like a revamp of Positive K's "I Got A Man"

Also they took a Showbiz & AG loop DIRECTLY from their album (not just the same sample) for a 'Chief Rocka' remix...

K-Def has refuted that, said he sampled Jack Bruce just like they did, but yea id say that was the main reason the beef happened

Doitall popped up on a Redman song recently, other than that I haven't heard from LOTUG in a loooong time. never really liked em
