Considering women are attention whores and babies draw attention there's always going to be a conflict between women with insecurities and babies.

This isn't uncommon by any stretch with the colorism issues we have in the Black community. What's worse is that unlike the person quoted in the OP, most people lack the awareness to articulate why they might be jealous of someone that's getting positive attention from the very same people who treated them unfavorably when they were younger because they weren't as "precious" as the lighter skinned, good hair, light eye child.
