Yeah I was listening to that album for a few months on spotify..I like the new song posted in this thread better..he was going all in with the lyrics..now I gotta go try to decipher these ambiguous lyrics this week..that's always fun when your bored when your dealing with LU

Yeah on first listen this one flew ALL the way over my head...I came in expecting at least an allusion to some Orwellian idea of corruption co-opting revolution, just off the strength of the title...didn't really get that or any other narrative until that "Am i not an animal cause I got thumbs" refrain and then the last verse where i get what ole boy above me got

...but I don't have a problem with songs like this from Lupe, he doesn't make as many of them as y'all are letting on...they have a different, more rewarding kind of replay value as you catch stuff you didn't on first listen
