This and Samurai feel like exercises to me. It's cool but it comes across as a bit of an afterthought for him.
Even DMIZ felt a little like that to me compared to Drogas Wave.

Was this one of the projects he had slated to release or nah? I thought I remember reading some other album titles. I'm gonna still peep the album amd probably like it but it makes me feel like these are throwaway projects to satisfy people while he's making something else. I hope that's the case tbh.

That being said, this aint bad at all but it seems like this album is gonna be mostly Lupe rappity rapping over more light hearted beats as opposed to something with a cohesive theme like Drogas

These sound like studio warmups with a beat. Lupe has always thrived on catchy melodies and hooks, this is him going in the opposite direction (to prove a point?)
