Only one I can’t rock with is ALL CAPS, which seemed to prioritize the message over the flow in the 2nd half and the distortion of “this nation” made it the most obvious that these were recorded outside. On the other hand, he floated on the last verse of Funhouse. Wouldn’t lump this together with DMIZ or Samurai, since it’s not meant to add up to anything cohesive, but I think Lupe’s probably due for something a little more ambitious in the near future.

Lupe sucks at marketing too.
Yeah, he was screwed over by Atlantic during his peak. But Lupe went out of his way to not do interviews and promo runs thereafter. If you don't feed the industry, the industry won't feed you. Rappers and fans gotta understand every industry is an ecosystem.
Lupe Fiasco got a dedicated fanbase that keeping his name alive the same way many of us kept Max B's name alive. But most rap fans and even rappers don't even think of including Lupe when making their GOAT rapper lists.
a lot of artists got jaded in the pivot to streaming and failed to capitalize and got lazy on the marketing side.
