I think they're different, but very similar and like sickle cell a lot of black and mediterranean people have it. Some people have both.Is that sickle cell trait?
Cause I have the trait and I read it made me immune to Malaria
In my case of G6PD, effectively the only impacts it has is that I can't eat fava beans, and in return got malaria immunity

But you should see if you have it, because in a lot of cases it means there's a good amount of medicine and stuff you can't take either. Could make you very ill.
