Lyrics with no punchlines :noah:

Most people don't realize how wack punchlines make your songs sound.

after a couple of days of letting it sink in.
fantastic mixtape and its rainy as shyt where i'm temporarily at so it goes with it.

From Da Tombs
Hardknock
Funky Ho's
Daily Routine
Righteous Minds

are prolly my favorite joints on it.
you know it's a strong tape when i can leave out Survival Tactics, Snakes & Suspect.

i even like the cover.
don't know, it gives off that Downtown vibe even though the kid from BK.

very well made tape.

i just hope he doesn't let himself get too trapped in the one sound and to stay away from the more cleaner sounding hollow beats that try to recreate that sound that plague the "underground" (if you can call it that still) and are corny as fukk.. the Statik beat was a a minor mistep. but he seems to have a good crew around him... the kid has a bright future ahead of him.

As of right now (July. 17 needs to hurry up), this is the album of the year for me.

His lyrics are crazy for such a young guy.

I liked the one that goes "don't quit your day job, if you want to be basegod.":jawalrus:

"they say hard work pays off, but tell the basedgod dont quit his dayjob"

i.e. lil b put out a lotta work but he's still a joke.

that capital steez and i like him better than joey even with the lisp

i love how dude is 17 and is hoping to bring back the essence, more than some of the dudes that have been in the game for 5+ years now

i dont know many guys at 17 that even know who lewis parker is, so he is definitely a student of the game, and a talented one also.

Always in the skies watchin' stars when they up

So don't you confide into the evil and corrupt

This is urgent

Apex on the verdict, tonight we servin serpants"

Apex killing it.

Her verse on Suspect was heatrocks. All these n!ggas can spit, they have more bass in they voice then most of these grown rappers out here smh lol

“[DJ] Envy is a cornball. He wasn’t up on me. Two minutes before the shyt started, the cameraman was like, ‘Joey Bada$$, YouTube hit ‘Survival Tactics,’ blah blah blah.’ He don’t know shyt. Include that shyt, ‘cause I want nikkas to know, he’s a fukkin’ cornball.”

This is perfet morning music. :ahh:

Snakes is playing now. Even the girl on the hook sounds like a 90s throwback. :ahh:

I like Joey Badass but Im sick of people saying hes bringing the 90s style back and he has a nostalgia flow. He's not a and idk wtf your listening too. He just has many of the unused elements to his style and the fact he fades his voice a bit. But to say he feels like 90s shyt is bullshyt to me. He has his own unique flow to him and uses a certain relaxed style laced with relaxed beats.

BTW: DId you guys ever listen to the Seccs Tape when it dropped? That shyt was legit.
