yeah you'd think somehow there might be a way to connect with the youth that are enamored with the hustling mentality and be able to flip that into making them businessmen. same with stuff like grafitti flipping that into art. one of the great strengths of black people is creativity. you see a lot of cultures copy off of black entertainers because they like that. we should be able to flip that into art, fashion, business, etc

I hear you, but I think you answered yourself right there...I also think a lot of guys actually try to go that route but you just don't see them, since they're working/studying/saving money...and some eventually fail, while those who make it move away or anyway keep it on the low...and peer pressure can be hard to resist, when you're with two jobs and studying and that other guy is living it up with drug money or whatever, it's hard to keep the focus on the long-term benefits.

I pray father in heaven that even when they get those job, they move up and get elevated to signs on unseen, father in heaven.

you right...my state is corrupt...been this way for decades...i dont have an answer for you. all i can do is take care of myself and make sure my niece and nephew dont deal with that kinda shyt.

i try to reach out to coworkers/classmates/random people i meet; both black male and female...VERY few listen...like maybe 2 or 3 that i have come across and then talked to later actually listened and are doing well for themselves.

the majority of people here are complacent but want to complain because "big brother govt" doesnt want to help. i have a republican mindset in that if you are able bodied, then i dont want to hear that bullshyt. you can learn a trade, goto school or work your way up through a manual labor/retail job and make decent money. all legally.

i hate when people say that sh!t because the truth is what jobs are they looking to do to begin with? there are many jobs outthere. what the hell are they looking to do for work? what are they doing to GET a job? they know they either have to go and learn a trade or take a retail job or something. it might not pay much to begin with but it's something. it sounds more to me like they're not even looking to begin with. they just want someone to give them a free handout. of course, nobody's going to hire you if you're not even searching for work in the first place. there are many obsticles and i understand that wholeheartedly but a lot of these guys don't even want to try to begin with and they have the nerve to make excuses without trying their luck. let's stop making excuses for some of these people because that's what they're doing. making excuses in order to do the same bullsh!t that they usually do.

it's funny how you see the same guys talking about how much money they make and what they waste their money on. they could waste that money on something that will benefit them in the future that will allow them to move pass the bullsh!t. they could go to college or trade school BUT naw..... motherf*ckers want things handed down to them because they don't want to work. these guys aren't even trying to make the system work for them. i can't feel sorry for a lot of these guys that talk about "give me a job" especially if they're not doing anything to earn the qualifications for employment or even trying to make the best out of a bad situation where they can build off of that. sorry ass motherf*ckers.
