nah, she’s running the best campaign in our lifetimes, better than even barack’s in 08 and 12. she’s running the numbers up.

as for a standard republican beating her, i don’t understand the logic behind that claim.

a standard republican, while perhaps not as overtly noxious as trump, would still be running on a decidedly unpopulär platform that an increasingly informed electorate is rejecting.

the reason the race is as “close” as it is can be attributed to the cultism of MAGA; remove that and you’re left with a platform with dwindling appeal to even those on the right.

Well a regular run of the mill republican isn't running so yea...Kamala is favored.

The argument about trends is that there are certain states where trends can have influence over other regions. For instance in 2016 polls Trump was doing insanely well in Iowa, a red state where trends for the Midwest can be traced. He ended up running very well in the Midwest, which is why he won. Flip side to 2024, Trump is only up a few points in Iowa. On the other end of the spectrum he's apparently losing big in Virginia, which could point to where states like PA, GA, and NC are trending.
