Hopefully this gets some real traction, a progressive movement is much needed here in the US

So it's not only about calling it a progressive movement, and we need to be careful about that. The devil is in the details and whoever grabs the mantle as speaker/head of the Progressive Party has to be concise about what exactly it is they mean by "progressive." You have to be willing to label centrist as minimalist and people willing to let morals slide for political points. You have to be ready to do what Bernie simply won't do, which is call everyone and their momma a "ho."

Is it just about being pro labor unions or supporting private citizens as well?
How do you show small businesses and entrepreneurs the benefits of your economic models?
If you're going to adopt the policies/rhetoric of the anti-war left, how are you going comfort middle eastern allies and confront Soviet aggression?
How do you speak to multi-national interests and human rights abuses?
Is the Progressive party going to speak about the devastating effects of the war on drugs on the black community, or will it take a color blind approach, as to not ruffle feathers?
Is the Progressive party going to talk to the real history of imperialism, racism, and genocide throughout US history, or are we just putting lipstick on a pig?

These are only some of the issues that have to be ISSUES that the NPP speaks vehemently about. I don't know how or where, but for each issue, they have to make the middle ground look like the point of view of the corrupt and weak willed. It can't get into identity politics because everyone is just going to label you a disgruntled hippy leftist or a poor ass college student who needs to join the real world.

He will. He'll dress it up in a Trump must be defeated narrative, but he will endorse. So will Warren. Why do you think the movement can continue without accepting realpolitik?
That's completely different though. If he goes up there and starts sucking Hillary off and calling her the best leader for the future of the country then he'll lose his base for sure.

If it's just let's get this done for no Trump and SCOTUS's then whatever. Then Warren and him can go buss some heads in Congress while hopefully getting some other progressives in the down ballot in.

Get out of my thread.
Make a better thread then.

Alternative parties are pointless because voting naturally bends towards two party systems when votes are tallied they way they are.

Also, this alternative party bullshyt is increasingly stupid because it ignores the fact that theres no local or congressional representation of this party....trying to go third party into the white house is asinine.

The end result will still be an endorsement and capitulation to Clinton. It will still be an endorsement of the status quo. It will still be an endorsement of the establishment. Can the movement accept this as a reality of politics and not cannibalize itself in the "progressive purity" war that would happen if the more agressive people in the party decide that Bernard sold out?

Quit bytching. Its feminine.

Your persistent naivety on here is getting annoying. The hubris of thinking some U21's have this shyt figured out is arrogant, and exposes your consistent rhetorical flaws.

You're bad at this shyt.

So take the time to LEARN why your argument, and misguided enthusiasm, needs work.

He would only sell out if he bigs her up. You can't call her a corporate shill in one month and then the next tell people her policies are the way to go. He's built himself as the true anti-establishment candidate. He's woken alot of people up and given those who already know the deal something to get behind. A greater good dap up is fine, I know the game but a policy endorsement is instant death for him. But I want to be clear that Bernie Sanders potentially dikk riding Hillary is not gonna kill the progressive movement itself imo.

The CPC budget is a detailed and sophisticated document. Prepared in conjunction with the Economic Policy Institute, it is projected in parallel with the Congressional Budget Office baseline. Its assumptions, programs, costs and revenue are laid out for all to see. And it is a ringing indictment of our current course.

This budget shows that bold, progressive ideas are feasible and sensible
