The time period Skinny talking about where Pimp & Rap-a-Lot were trying to sign him is around 94-95ish...years before trill ent. and before any of those dudes were even thought of. This was even before they recorded Mystic Styles. He said he went down to Houston to try to work out a deal with rap-a-lot, but he was put on a backlog, got impatient and went back to Memphis to record King of the Playaz Ball w/ Paul & Juice. He was in Houston choppin it up lil j & pimp and them when 3-6 were recording Mystic Styles, which explains why he was only on two songs and not on the posse cut. He even talked about it on King of the Playaz Ball

I think UGK probably wanted to use him in a suppporting role similar to what they was doing w/ 3-2...i think it worked out for the better though...maybe not business wise for him, but from a "fan's" perspective...if he had've signed w/ rap-a-lot or UGK...we woulda never got King of the Playaz Ball...and ain't nothing like Skinny over Paul & J's production
