This multiverse thing accomplishes one thing

It makes it so all the movies and TV shows can function like actual comic books. Characters from one storyline can appear in another very easily. Even multiple versions of one character can share the same space.

That part is cool. But. The storytelling can get super lazy if anything can be undone by time travel or any character can just come back to life by bringing in a dupe from another dimension.
