Nah, the more crap your diet, the harder you make it on yourself working out. Diet is like 80% of the battle. I been losing water weight so far, I gotta weight myself again and see where I'm at.
I think that diet is more like 50%, because at some point your body will just stop losing weight if it assumes that it is starving. The rebound to that people will engage in overeating when the diet is over, which is why people end up being fatter after ending a diet.
The actual key to weight loss is to diet in conjunction with cardio and some kind resistance training. The resistance training is necessary, because muscle burns fat. Cardio also burns fat. To lose weight a person has to burn more calories then they consume and weight training (resistance) is really good at helping people do that even though initially a person may gain weight due to increased food consumption to offset the calorie burn.
The problem with people in this country is that they overeat. People don't even eat to quell hunger. They actually eat just eat, because many times they are not even hungry when they eat. Then to make matters worse they eat a bunch of calorie rich foods full of sugars and fats, rather than just grabbing apples, oranges or bananas to snack on. It is just a bad cycle, but if people truly wanted to lose weight then they should just eat eat a small breakfast; a big lunch and then snack on fruit for dinner or when they need a snack. I have never seen a person getting fat that snacked on fruits all day. Don't ask me how I know this stuff.
