New subforum inside of the Arcadium for tourneys/challenges

There's been an influx of new threads in the Arcadium for challenges and tourneys ever since the match with Leasy and Sonny. Some are even suggesting having one official thread for all challenges. I suggest a subforum within the arcadium dedicated to video game competitions. All current league threads would get moved into it as well. The subforum could then have its own summer jam screen stickied permanently for major events such as notable challenges, final 4, world series, ect. ect.

Just a thought to keep things in the arcadium a bit more organized.

Excellent suggestion, let's make it happen. We'll call it The Stadium. Which one of the architects wants to take on this project? If not, we'll let @Brooklynzson handle it. Appreciate it.

Nice idea but I don't think it's necessary. We can just be pinning these type of threads instead. It brings more attention the section itself without fragmenting it.

I know the film room had issues with excessive pinned threads. Don't know what you guys have planned. I think it's a great idea to pin these type of threads but others can be just regular threads. Like the game threads will always be popping so they'll remain on top. Like right now I see 2k16, mgs, and Destiny as pins. Those are all hot games that should stay active regardless. Maybe have just the deals thread, and special events threads pinned? But then if you pin the challenges threads, how many are allowed? Don't want to overflow the pinned threads section. You can't expect everyone to just use one thread to post in. Unless an official thread for that will be provided? But then how would the betting work? Maybe make a challenge thread for each system to separate them a bit? Just not trying to see the first page too jam packed.

Right now there's about 5 different official leagues and 3 different threads with users challenging each other. If we want to get twitch TV poppin and really create a space for competitive gaming I think a subforum dedicated to that is the best route. Right now you got guys basically trolling now, fake e-beefin hoping to get on that summer jam screen. I'm cool either way, these are just ideas. I Just would personally be against a one thread solution where every player of every game and every genre drops random challenges into. That would be a complete mess.
Just as an additional comment, because most people only speak up when they have something negative to say; I will say that the arcadium has seen huge improvement over the past year and the mods have done a good job cleaning the place up. I see new users start to post in there regularly now and trash threads have been cut down significantly.

I don't think we should (not saying you are) overcomplicate this matter. If someone challenges another member to a game, we can pin it. Like you said, people are trying to get put on that summer jam screen. Let's see how long this lasts before we create another sub-forum that may be dead in a month is all. We need a few more hype streams before entertaining it IMO. Let's just keep shyt poppin' in The Arcadium for now before branching it off. And as you can see brehs didn't even archive the game for people to catch it later on. Might be time to up some old streaming threads so people in all the leagues etc can know some basic things to do to really bring more content to the forum and keep things alive...

c/s. lets see how things go first. if shyt really picks up then we can think about branching out but right now the arcadium could use this influx of positive activity.

We need to have more game night's active. I don't know about me personally, but I know there was one and then it stopped. Or create like tournaments since all of them seem to be on that 2k16 or the Madden. Put down a 16 player tournament and have them drop some coli cash. Then the rest of us can bet on them (I know not to bet on leasy ) and gather some excitement for the board. They already have their own leagues but this could be something for everyone. I agree that the quality of the board has improved lately. Especially with the stan wars being minimized. It's just a matter of making the board more active. I agree that this current phase night just be a phase, but let's see how things go and try and capitalize from there. I wasn't able to watch last night or even knew the coli had a twitch channel. That's something new to consider having more exposure. We'll see how things play out for now.

Maybe a coli sponsored game tournament for different games would take things to the next level. For example. Right now Mortal Kombat X is very popular. Have a tournament everyone site wide can bet on. 12 man bracket for example. Stream every match. Winner gets a rep boost and everyone gets in on the betting action. This can be done with any game. The downside would be you might get a ton of non gamers entering for a shot at some rep. But I think you would definitely see a huge boost in traffic if you had official coli tournaments. You just pick a game, allow a small window for people to enter. Make a randomized bracket and let the betting begin. Maybe custom banners can be made as well. MKX Champ, NBA2K Champ, etc. If the crowd was right I'd even be willing to put up real cash into a pot so the winner can get a gamestop gift card.
